Which service is for me?

So I’ve decided I want coaching, counselling or bibliotherapy. What now?

Ask yourself these questions:

A) What do I want to do?

1. An agenda-driven approach to making changes or reaching goals (coaching).

2. Traditional talking therapy that integrates a variety of methods (counselling).

3. Being prescribed readings and/or viewings and/or listenings related to your particular situation (bibliotherapy).

B) Who is the session for?

1. Me alone (coaching, counselling or bibliotherapy).

2. Me and my partner/s (counselling).

C) How much time do I want to spend?

1. A one-off session to explore one issue in depth (coaching, counselling or bibliotherapy).

2. A series of sessions looking at one or more concerns (coaching, counselling or bibliotherapy).

3. An open-ended approach (counselling).

D) Where should this take place?

1. On the phone.

2. Online as a video call.

3. In-person as a walk-and-talk session (this is limited to certain areas in Norfolk and Suffolk; petrol charges may apply).

Note that you can change your mind. For example, you can start with a one-off walk-and-talk session and then decide you actually would like a series of sessions online. Or you might come for bibliotherapy and realise you’d like more in-depth coaching over the phone.

Feel free to start with a 15-minute no-obligation consultation.
